Please Spay or Neuter the Pipelines

kitten1The average mature cat can have 3 litters with a total of 12 kittens per year; 10.2 surviving kittens of which 4.7 are female. Each of those female kittens will grow up to have 3 litters with a total of 12 kittens per year; 10.2 surviving kittens of which 4.7 are female. By the time the original cat is 7 years old, she and her offspring will produce 2,905 kittens. This is just from ONE cat.

What does a kitten have to do with pipelines?

  • The kitten picture has gotten your attention.

  • Pipelines tend to produce more pipelines, whether you need them or not.

The fossil fuel industry is all damn the torpedoes, full steam ahead with constructing pipelines.   Just as you really don’t need (or want) 2,905 kittens, you also don’t want many many pipelines in your backyard or community.

Failing to take action to spay or neuter your kitten will result in more kittens.

Failing to take action to stop a pipeline will result in more pipelines.

Things You Can Do to Help Spay and Neuter a Pipeline:

  4. COMMENT and INTERVENE with FERC (Click Here To Download FERC instructions)  Don’t Know what FERC stands for?  See #3 and look it up – this is your first lesson.

  5. Be a Nudge – contact, write, call, fax, email your local, county, state and federal elected officials

  6. Write letters to the Editor

  7. Get Local and Be Vocal
